We have been passionately advocating for all women whose perinatal mental health has declined because of the pandemic.
We want to make sure no new parent feels alone or at a heightened risk of perinatal mental ill-health.
We leave you with these three messages:
Number one, to our government, our policy and decision-makers: They must address the seriousness of perinatal mental ill-health and do more to help support women.
Number two, we need to start talking, normalising the conversation about perinatal mental ill-health. To break down the stigma that prevents women from seeking timely help. Communication underpins change and we can prevent the severity and trauma happening to future generations.
Number three, we need to take this opportunity and be bold and courageous to stand with each other in solidarity and support. Share our truth and experiences, it is our power. Our collective voices can make a difference, so we can be heard loud and clear.
